UPDATE: Change in Devroy Forum speaker

Scott Wilson, the White House chief bureau for The Washington Post, will now be the featured speaker at the 17th Annual Ann Devroy Forum Thursday night. He will is replacing the original speaker and Washington Post columnist and blogger Al Kamen, who is unable to attend due to a back injury.

Wilson will speak about the challenges and opportunities of covering the White House in the digital age and world of social media.

Following his presentation, Wilson will answer audience questions regarding modern day journalism and political reporting.

The Forum is free to the public and starts at 7 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium.

In addition, Wilson will be the first Devroy Forum speaker since 2007 to also be a guest speaker in a journalism class, Associate Professor of journalism Michael Dorsher’s Research Methods class. The class is from 11-11:50 a.m. in Hibbard Hall 101. Any journalism students or political science students not enrolled in the class are welcome to attend.

Wilson will also have lunch Friday in the Dulany Inn with 10 sophomore journalism students, as part of the Second Year Experience program.
