Freshman Nicholas L. Buck pleaded no contest Tuesday to intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, a misdemeanor.
Buck’s charges stemmed from an October incident in Bridgman Hall in which police allege he pointed a handgun at another student and threatened to pull the trigger.
According to court documents, the two students were arguing while playing video games. The other student made a comment about Buck’s mother, and Buck pulled out the gun.
He originally was charged with felony first degree recklessly endangering the safety of another.
Buck faces 15 days in jail or 120 hours of community service and $200 plus court costs in fines, according to the county district attorney’s office.’
