Student agrees to lesser charge

Freshman Nicholas L. Buck pleaded no contest Tuesday to intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, a misdemeanor.

Buck’s charges stemmed from an October incident in Bridgman Hall in which police allege he pointed a handgun at another student and threatened to pull the trigger.

According to court documents, the two students were arguing while playing video games. The other student made a comment about Buck’s mother, and Buck pulled out the gun.

He originally was charged with felony first degree recklessly endangering the safety of another.
