Police find body in Half Moon Lake

Eau Claire police recovered a body from Half Moon Lake around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after a citizen spotted the body, according to police reports.

The Eau Claire Police Department declined to confirm the body as that of Michael J. Noll, 22, a UW-Eau Claire junior missing since Nov. 6.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune has reported that police contacted Noll’s family after finding a wallet and clothes matching the description of what their son was wearing the night he went missing.

The family told the Star Tribune the identity of their son had been confirmed.
