BREAKING NEWS: Students back Klenz, say no to new student center

There won’t be a new student center constructed anytime soon on the Eau Claire campus, and senior Adrian Klenz will take over as Student Senate president, according to four-day vote totals posted Thursday night.

Klenz and his running mate, sophomore Kate Demerse, received 1,043 votes to junior Saskia Harak and junior Kevin Funk’s 594.

Write-in candidates senior Ben Hack and sophomore Aaron Olson received 87 votes.

“I’m very honored,” Klenz said. “Students obviously got involved. It was a fantastic turnout.”
