Senior Davey Starks moved closer to making Blugold history by winning the 125 pound bracket and continuing his unbeaten season at the St. John’s (Minn.) North Country Tournament Saturday.
Seniors Adam Kolo and Chris Muller took third and fourth place respectively in their respective weight classes. Freshman Derek Sikora (165) and junior Troy Seubert (174) both finished in fifth place at their weight classes to give the ‘Golds a sixth place finish.
Among the teams competing were first-ranked Wartbug College (Iowa) and second-ranked Augsburg College (Minn.).
Eau Claire will travel to Whitewater on Friday to try and win their first dual meet of the season.
