    Men’s golf team in third after 36

    The men’s golf team is in third place after the first day of the Jack Wallace Memorial Golf Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

    Junior Bill Conroy shot a 146 over the first 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament to post the top individual score for the Blugolds after the first day. Conroy is tied for third, five strokes out of first.

    Junior Mark Christensen is tied for 11th place after shooting a 150, and sophomore Andy Dustan is one stroke behind Christensen to tie for 15th on Lake Panorama National Golf Course.

    The Blugolds are tied for third with Drake University (Iowa) with a collective score of 600. Indian Hills Community College (Iowa) leads the pack with a 589, followed by Southwest Missouri State with 591.

    The tournament concludes today, with the final 18 holes.
