Clinton, Ryan stop by Eau Claire

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and former President Bill Clinton both spoke in Eau Claire on Oct. 31.  Ryan spoke at Florian Gardens at 8 a.m. and Clinton spoke at the Ramada Convention Center, doors opened at 6:15 p.m.

Political Geography Professor Ryan Weichett said it seems that Ohio has taken a turn towards being a democratic state which is causing the republican campaign is turning their focus towards Wisconsin, which is becoming a more important swing state.  With Hurricane Sandy’s devastation on the east coast, a strong voter turnout in Wisconsin is vital for both campaigns.
