The UW-Eau Claire women’s golf team finished in third place out of 15 at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling this weekend.
As a team, the Blugolds shot a 662 total for both days.
The leading team, Lindsey Wilson College (KY), shot a 646 and defeated second place team UW-Stevens Point, who finished with a 654 total, by a slim margin of eight strokes.
Senior Jesse Thompson led the Blugolds with a two-day total of 159, tying for third place overall.

Junior Meghan Sobotta placed sixth with a total of 161.
Lindsey College’s Krista Burton won the event, shooting a two-day total of 151, eight over-par.
