Three first place finishes by junior Jennifer Stafslien, and a first-place shot put throw helped the Eau Claire women’s and men’s track and field teams take third and fourth place at the Pointer Invitational in Stevens Point.
Junior John Schuna led the men’s team, grabbing a first- place finish in the shot put and contributing to the men’s finishing score of 85.
Other leading Blugold men included juniors Ethan Kreul and Adam Condit, who took second and third place in the 3,000-meter run.
The women finished with a final score of 121.5 points.
Stafslien brought in three first-place finishes for the Blugolds in the long jump, triple jump and 55-meter hurdles.
The Blugolds will compete next weekend in the WIAC Indoor Championships at UW-Stout.
