Burk closes diving career 12th, 18th in Ohio

Fighting through two wrist surgeries in her junior year, Kaici Burk came into her senior year looking to dive at the NCAA Div. III National Championships.

She did just that this weekend, finishing 12th in the 1-meter competition and 18th in the 3-meter competition.

Burk, who finished third in the 1-meter event at the WIAC meet last month, was only 30 points shy of qualifying for the finals in the same competition on Thursday with 323.70 points.

Lindsay Moore, a senior from Springfield College (Mass.), finished first in the event with 394.20 points in the preliminaries and 384.80 points in the finals to take the title.
