Where to find eclectic trinkets to give this holiday season

The start of fall is met with a number of community-wide events in Eau Claire. It’s time to debut your favorite sweater and hit the town.

Falliday Craft and Vendor Show

Kick off October with The Falliday Craft and Vendor Show. The vendors will have a variety of different fall-related crafts and other products. You may even be able to snag a few samples, according to visiteauclaire.com

The event is held by Mandy Weise Grambsch and the Eau Claire ConnECtions VIP fan group. There is no entrance fee and there will be food available for purchase.

The Falliday Craft and Vendor Show will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Immaculate Conception School. Additional information can be found on the Falliday Craft and Vendor Show Facebook page

Grand Opening of Slate Boutique and Gifts

If you’re looking for new fall apparel, accessories or trinkets, stop by the grand opening of Slate Boutique and Gifts. Slate Boutique is a women’s clothing store where they are currently selling its fall collection.

The event is free of charge and there will be giveaways, refreshments and food, according to volumeone.com.

The grand opening takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Sept. 30 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 1. Slate Boutique is located in Eau Claire on Talmadge Rd.

The Nunnery Live at The Oxbow Hotel

On Oct. 5 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Sarah Elstran, also known as the Nunnery, will play live at The Lakely Restaurant

Elstran is a solo artist who uses vocal looping to create her signature meditative sound. Sawdust City Sounds says that Elstran’s music “is more of an experience than just a sound.”

The event is free, but dinner and drinks are served at the restaurant.
