Men’s and women’s golf get two solid individual performances

Dreier and Engler lead Blugolds

The men’s and women’s golf teams were in action over the weekend, and both teams captured top-eight finishes.

 

The men’s team traveled to Sauk Centre, Minn., for the St. John’s Fall Invitational and the Blugolds totaled 624 strokes in two days. Sophomore Joey Dreier, , who shot 156 and tied for 22nd, was the top Blugold finisher

 

St. Thomas (Minn.) won the event with 609 strokes.

 

For the women, it was senior All-American Kate Engler who led the charge for the Blugolds as she tied for fourth with 157 strokes. She moved up five spots in the second day of the DIII Midwest Classic and helped Eau Claire finish in fifth place out of 15 teams.
