Although Erica and I still have yet to find a bedazzler, I also am searching for a button maker to make ironic buttons with. Irony is funny. So are snow monkeys. So are people falling.
Dear Ask Anything,
I’m not going to lie to you, I LOVE Project Runway. Since I remember your Valentine’s plans included watching episodes of the show, what do you think of Santino? I can’t tell if he’s truly crazy, or if he is a hidden genius.
– In and Out
Dear In and Out,
Did you see this week’s episode? It was great. I sat and sewed together my TV watching pants while watching it, because I’ve had them since ninth grade and they’re falling apart. Sewing made me feel like one of the designers; it was the jam.
Anyway, with regards to Santino, I think an individual’s craziness is directly proportional to the length of his facial hair. Have you seen his beard? Now, that’s crazy. Conversely, an individual’s genius is proportional to his or her lack of facial hair. Just don’t tell the philosophy majors.
Dear AA,
My friend got me a Magic 8 Ball for my birthday and I was wondering if it is ethical for me to ask it a question until I get the answer I want. I tried asking the 8-ball, but it didn’t give me an answer I liked. HELP!
– Birthday Girl
Dear Birthday Girl,
It is completely ethical to continue anxiously turning over the ball until the answer you want comes up. I cheat at solitaire all the time, therefore we’re similar people.
What I’m more concerned about is how strong your faith in the Magic 8 Ball appears to be. If you’re really so worried about the answers rendered by shaking a piece of plastic that you’re willing to lie to yourself, I think you may have bigger issues.
It’s perfectly normal that I cheat at solitaire because it shows that I am a winner who will go far in life.
