Junior Kiley Zellner led the Blugolds to a 3-0 victory over UW-River Falls Wednesday at Bollinger Field by doing most of the work toward a hat trick in the first half-hour of the game.
The first goal came off passes from senior Kacie Fry and sophomore Marcia Foltz. Zellner scored the second goal unassisted four minutes after the first.

In the second half, Zellner scored the final goal when she netted a pass from senior Sara Bahlmann.
With the three goals Zellner scored in Wednesday’s game, she totals five this season. The Blugolds took control of the game and utilized their defense, allowing the Falcons to get only three tries on goal and two corner kicks. The ‘Golds took 15 shots and six corner kicks.
With this win, the Blugolds take their first WIAC victory and improve their record to 5-7-1 overall and 1-2 in conference.
Eau Claire will play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carleton College, (Minn.).
