The Jim Pullman Band is the “Best Band You’re Not Listening To.” The lead singer and guitarist Jim Pullman was notified in December by a phone call live on the air of the Daily Buzz TV show.

The three-man band, which formed in 2001, is made up of Pullman, electric and string bassist Kalin Capra and percussionist and 2002 Eau Claire graduate Bill Nelson.

It will be recording the performance in the Daily Buzz TV studio in Miamisburg, Ohio. The show airs Friday on the WB; see local listings for channels.

The band will perform one or two songs and have a brief interview on the show which is from 6 to 8 a.m.

The band had its last local performance before going to Ohio Saturday, Jan. 18 at the House of Rock, 422 Water St. In December, it performed a fan appreciation show at Stones Throw, 304 Eau Claire St., and had a turnout of close to 200 people.Before returning to Eau Claire, the band will have a show Feb. 8 at Dunn Bros. Freighthouse in Minneapolis. It will perform Feb. 21 at Stones Throw, 304 Eau Claire St.
