The Blugolds women’s basketball team began WIAC play Wednesday night with a win over UW-La Crosse.
The win was Eau Claire’s 24th straight over the Eagles.
Leading the way offensively for Eau Claire were junior Becca Spaeth and senior Kristi Channing with 12 points apiece.
Junior Brooke Wozniak continued her dominance in the paint with 12 total rebounds. Wozniak also contributed on the offensive end with 11 points.

Senior Janel Soppeland had a solid all-around game for the ‘Golds, compiling 11 points and seven rebounds.
The women are now 6-0 overall and 1-0 in WIAC play.
