UW-Eau Claire gymnastics loses conference meet

In their third meet of the season Friday night, the UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team lost to conference opponent Winona State University (Minn.), 182.875 to 181.925.

Sophomore Erin Olson was the lone Blugold to leave the meet with a first place finish. Olson scored 9.125 on the balance beam. Teammates Tori Erickson and Elizabeth Stubbs tied for second place on the same event with a Winona State gymnast, with a score of 8.975.

Olson also placed second on floor exercise, with sophomore Dez Stanton placing fourth in the same event. Junior Kellie Dougherty and freshman Lauren Zurowski capped of the night finishing fourth and fifth on the uneven bars, respectively.

Next weekend, the Blugolds travel to UW-Whitewater for their next conference meet.
