    Quick Hit: Blugold wrestlers continue to improve

    Three Blugolds made it to the final round of their 13-team tournament, wrestling against Division I and II schools as well as Division III.

    Freshman Zach Sirny lost to UW-La Crosse wrestler Quenten Fisher in the final round of the 124-pound weight class.

    Freshman Nate Behnke pinned Wisconsin wrestler Matthew Kelliher to advance to the final round. There, he took second place after Rylan Lubeck, also of Wisconsin, won by decision.

    Junior Matt Rieckhoff took third place in the 184-pound weight class.

    The Blugolds will next compete in the WIAC Championship at 9 a.m. Feb. 17.
