I lost to Bridget? I LOST TO BRIDGET?

How could I let this happen, I lost to the team who drafted Matt Flynn in the first round and the Jaguars D/ST in the fifth round. This is embarrassing, but I owe props.

I have now dropped to 3-4 in the prestigious “Spectator League” in ESPN, but not for a lack of effort.

I did, however, make one crucial mistake. That one guy that I told you to drop a couple weeks ago you probably shouldn’t have. That guy is Chris Johnson and he garnered 31 points this week in standard ESPN leagues.

Chris Johnson was on my bench. Damn.

I would have won if he wasn’t on my bench. Double damn.

But hey, in other news my brave picks paid off once again for the most part. I told you to start Jeremy Kerley if you were struggling in some leagues for a wideout. He did not find the endzone but he had 120 yards receiving and therefore got 12 points.

My other pick was a shocker in Josh Scobee, the Jags usually can’t find the endzone and the Raiders are surprisingly good at red-zone defense in regards to letting up touchdowns. Scobee rewarded people who took my advice and scored them 15 points. What a leg on that guy.

In other news for our league, Editor in Chief Eric Christenson is still leading the league at a marvelous record of 6-1, and is getting a pretty big head about it. I’m not going to lie to you, I’m rooting for News Editor Chris Reinoos’ Portland Thinkers this week when they take on the league leading team.

This week was not as intriguing for fantasy football because of the fact that six teams were on bye, but there were some notable surprising performers.

Josh Freeman scored 28 points on 3 TDs and 420 yards through the air and Vincent Jackson continued his ridiculous receiving ways scoring 27 points in his game against the Saints.

This week is tricky, and these players just might be, Dave’s bravest picks of the season.

Redskins WR Josh Morgan- They are playing the Giants who have a porous pass defense, full of holes. Now that Fred Davis is out of the lineup, RGIII’s targets will have to go somewhere and Morgan is a fast, attractive option for the ’Skins.

Chargers QB Philip Rivers- The man who doesn’t cuss is going up against a terrible defense, is coming off a big loss to the Broncos last Monday night, the Chargers have a history of being good in the second half of the season and there is a flame about to ignite underneath that man’s arm. Fantasy points are projected to be plentiful.
