    Wrestlers lose to Pointers

The wrestling team finished its regular season Saturday, falling 44-6 to UW-Stevens Point. The Blugolds finish their season 3-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference .

The only Blugold points came from a forfeit in the 149 pound weight class. Sophomore Andy Johnston has now won eight out of 10 matches.

Three matches were decided by four points or less. Senior Nick Hoeft lost 4-2 in the heavyweight class, while junior Andy Miller kept close to his opponent, tying him at 4-4 after two periods, but dropped the match 7-4 at the 133 weight class. Sophomore Jon Ames wrestled at the 157 weight class and lost to his opponent 9-5.

Stevens Point only lost one meet this season, and that loss came at the hands of UW-La Crosse, who in turn has not lost a meet this season.
