The Blugolds held the lead by as much as three runs after two innings, but Stout came back by tallying two runs in the third inning, and another two in the fourth.

The Blugolds tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, but Stout again rallied to bat in three more runs in the sixth. Smith’s two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh brought the Blugolds to within one point of Stout.

Sophomore Kim Czapla pitched the complete game against Stout.

In the low-scoring contest against Stevens Point, the Blugolds’ only RBI was by junior Leah DeMares.

DeMares had three of the Blugold’s eight hits, including a pair of doubles.
