UW Meets EC invites students to explore Eau Claire
The annual UW Meets EC event welcomed new students to town with free merchandise and lively booths throughout downtown Eau Claire.
September 9, 2019
New and returning students gathered at Phoenix Park and the streets of downtown Eau Claire to become familiar with the city and different organizations or businesses in the area. Pictured in Phoenix Park are companies such as Mayo Clinic, Peace Church and Eau Claire Children’s Theatre. Many of their booths provided free merchandise or a spin wheel for a chance to win a prize. The event continued throughout downtown where students could visit the businesses themselves and watch UW-Eau Claire’s acapella groups perform on different street corners. Micon Cinema handed out popcorn and a free movie entry coupon as well. There was even a chance to get your portrait doodled by an artist. Student volunteers were also present throughout the event to assist new students in finding different locations.
