Bright colors and a cause

The Color Dash 5K made its way to Eau Claire Sunday turning over 3,000 runners into a rainbow of color.

Known as “the world’s brightest 5K,” this 3.1 mile run took runners through Carson Park as they became a spectrum of  green, blue, pink, orange and yellow.

On top of being a bright 5K experience, one of the race’s other distinctive features was that it benefited the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre. With Sunday’s Color Dash having the largest attendance of any race in Eau Claire so far this year, over $47,000 in funds was raised for the theatre.
