McLean Bennett is a senior print journalism major from Kohler, Wis. He currently is in his sixth semester on The Spectator, and is in his third straight semester as staff writer. Past positions on The Spectator include copy editor, chief copy editor and sports editor. In high school, he freelanced for his local monthly newspaper, The Kohler Villager, and in college he has worked for both The Altoona Star and the Leader-Telegram. In the future McLean hopes to work as a full-time reporter at a small-town weekly or semi-weekly paper in the Midwest or in the Northeast, covering a general-news beat or a local sports beat wherever he ends up.
