Oshkosh downs Eau Claire football

UW-Oshkosh took a commanding 35-0 lead into the halftime locker room and ultimately won 42-14 against the Blugolds Saturday at Carson Park.

Senior running back Joel Sweeney had 123 yards and a touchdown in his final home game. Sophomore quarterback Joel Newman went 17-for-34 for 94 yards and a touchdown in his first career start.

Eau Claire will play at UW-La Crosse in the regular season finale Saturday. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse.
