What is the SWATeam?
The Student Wellness Advocacy Team is a group of ten peer health educators for Student Health Services, said senior Amy VerBurg.
What does the SWATeam do?
We promote college health issues such as responsible drinking, safe sexual health and practices, health and fitness, stress and relaxation and depression.
How often do you meet?
We have staff meetings every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
How does someone get involved?
E-mail Sarah Harvieux at harviesm@uwec.edu if you’re interested in joining the SWATeam. We hire at the beginning of each semester. You can also contact her if you’d like to request a presentation for your class, residence hall or group meeting.
