$$ PRICES $$ÿ
This restaurant is relatively inexpensive, especially considering the amount of food you get for your dollar. You basically are given more food than you can eat. And if you happen to be in the mood for ribs at 10:30 a.m., you’re in luck: Dave runs a lunch special from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, offering similarly ample portions (including side dishes) for $4.99 to $6.99. The bar runs a daily happy hour special until 5:30 p.m. with deals on tap beer and wine.ÿ
FOOD
Famous Dave’s is a vegetarian’s nightmare and a carnivore’s paradise. There are zero vegetarian dishes on the menu (unless you count a salad or potato). On the other hand, almost every menu option comes piled high with at least two kinds of meat, and five varieties of “home-made” barbecue sauce are on hand at every table for dousing. Also there is a separate menu for fish – for those observing Lent, but who must, nevertheless, eat barbecue.ÿThe quality of the food is surprisingly good, and the barbecue theme delivers the authenticity that other corporate restaurants only promise.ÿ
SERVICE
The “Pit Crew,” as they call it at Famous Dave’s, was friendly and inviting. They served us promptly and efficiently. The staffÿwas knowledgeable with the menu and able to answer any questions we had about the food. We had no complaints about the service.
ATMOSPHERE
The pink pig that greets you at the door and the display of trophies that boast their award – winning food says it all about the type of atmosphere at Famous Dave’s. The checkered table-clothes and five different flavors of barbeque sauce make you feel like you’re at your own backyard barbeque. The music was a spicy Cajun mix that will put you in the mood to indulge yourself in a platter of barbecued ribs.
Heather’s overall comments:
The atmosphere was fun and Famous Dave’s is a good place to get together with your friends to have a good meal and a good time. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the amount of food you get, which makes for a fun, cheap night out.

Jeff’s overall comments:
Famous Dave’s arrogantly boasts its accolades, but delivers. The food is good, and the service is good enough. And although it may not be the ideal setting for a first date, it’s a great place for friends to get together and defile themselves in the spirit of the good ol’ south. Yeee ha!
