Axis of Brilliance: Redux (April 4, 2012)

The UW System recently approved 227 paid sabbaticals for faculty members next school year, despite the state’s budget crisis. The exact number is not concrete and will be decided after officials learn exactly how much the state’s budget will be cut. However, with the System facing cuts of up to $250 million, now is not the time for paying faculty members to conduct research or publish articles.
