Men's hockey team splits weekend series with Saturday night loss to rival UW-Stout

The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team found mixed results this past weekend. Friday night the Blugolds jumped out to a fast start and did not look back as they defeated UW-River Falls 6-1. Saturday night the Blugold offense struggled to find the back of the net.

Women's Basketball The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team opened play this weekend with two victories. The lady Blugolds, ranked 22nd in the nation, started with a 64-43 win over Ripon College on Friday. After trailing 2-0 early, Eau Claire took off and didn't think twice, leading 35-15 at the half.
