At 2:45 a.m., an officer received a phone call from a custodian who reported there was a man sleeping on the couch in the library lobby. The custodian said he had seen the man sleeping there several times in the past couple of weeks.
The officer went to the library, woke up the man and asked him why he had been sleeping on the couch. The man said he was a student and had just finished his homework. The man also told the officer his lease had ended in October and he was currently homeless, but usually stays with friends.
The officer suggested a few options for living arrangements.
The man thanked him and said he would call a friend to pick him up.
