Spoke too soon

At 11:22 pm an officer noticed three subjects with open beer cans walking near the Water Street Bridge. The officer noticed one of the subjects no longer had his can, and questioned him. After the subject denied having a can, the officer looked over the bridge and saw the can floating down the river.

Homeward bound

October 2 An officer responded to McPhee Center at 11:19 a.m. after learning of a suspicious male sitting in the lobby area. The man was reported to be wearing a hospital wristband. The officer approached the man, who then verbally identified himself. The man said he just left a local hospital and was trying to find Positive Avenues, a support facility in downtown Eau Claire.

That bench was made for what?

October 3 At 2:10, a.m., two student patrol members contacted an officer, saying they had witnessed a woman urinating in public on the east side of the Crest Wellness Center. When the officer arrived at the scene, the patrol member pointed out the woman and said he saw her urinate on a bench by the entrance of the building.

Kittens, inspired by kittens

An officer was dispatched to the south side of the university footbridge in reference to several stray kittens at 10:50 a.m. After arriving, the officer saw no kittens and attempted to contact the woman who made the call. About 10 minutes later the officer was advised that the woman was by Hass Fine Arts Center attempting to get the kittens into a cardboard box.
