Women's basketball team remains undefeated with a victory over rival UW-Stout

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team took the first step in defending its Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title on Saturday. In a back-and-forth hard-fought game, Eau Claire was able to slip past UW-Stout with a 73-68 victory. "Credit Stout, they played a great game and really gave us everything we could handle," coach Tonja Englund said.

Men's hockey team has weekend to forget

Blugolds drop games to No. 15 St. Scholastica (Minn.) and No. 2 UW-Superior

It was a weekend the UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team will quickly want to forget. The Blugolds played host to No. 15-ranked St. Scholastica (Minn.) on Friday night and No. 2 UW-Superior Saturday night. The Saints defeated the Blugolds Friday night 5-1, while the Yellowjackets won 2-1 on Saturday night.
