Gold prices continue to rise

Buying metal increasing trend in current economy

Gold has been known as a symbol for wealth and status ever since the precious metal was first discovered. From jewelry to sculpture, gold has always been used for a variety of artistic and monetary purposes. Likewise, gold is also used for more practical situations like dentistry or electronics because of gold's resistance to oxidative corrosion.

Student investment program offers internship-like experience

As America's economy began to decline over the past year, it took some people by surprise. On the other hand some saw it coming, including the group of students who make up the Student Investment Management Program along with SIMP director Ray Hughes. While some responded unfavorably to the declining economy, SIMP looked at it as a valuable learning tool to be used when those in the program become professionals in their fields.

Now that the election is over and Barack Obama has been elected president, it's a good idea to read the fine print. Obama will inherit a weakened economy, and some of his proposals could have a dramatic impact on the economy and your pocketbook. First, the economy is struggling.
