A period of lunacy

Play details failed fictitious mission of women astronauts

Begin with periods of craziness caused by the moon. Add ten actresses, space travel and top it off with more than 30 characters. Does it sound like lunacy? Lunacy will open at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Riverside Theater in Haas Fine Arts Center Background Lunacy portrays a fictional story about two women, Martha Howland and Jean Cross, Director and Assistant Professor of music and theater arts Jennifer Chapman said.

Film's techniques bring out characters

Early on it's clear "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" wants whoever is watching to feel as close to the characters as possible. Instead of opting to use the typical style of camera work, the film's writer and director Cristian Mungiu opts to use the hand held approach.

I love Greek food. Seriously, I dip bread in olive oil, hummus has its own block in my food pyramid and anything with feta and you've pretty much got me sold. And I know that I should be morally opposed to lamb, but it tastes so good. I can't help myself. Being from the Twin Cities I had a pretty good selection of Greek eats, so when I heard that Olympic Flame has the best Gyros in Eau Claire, I had to check the place out.
