Flesh and the bonsai

One of his pieces will be a sculpture painting simulating flesh and bioforms, Kuroki said. Another piece represents bonsai, which are miniaturized trees of Japanese origin. The plants are manipulated to appear larger. In this instance, Kuroki said, bonsai is similar to painting.

Local band 'Orestus' continues annual show at House of Rock

A mash between Peter Gabriel, GG Allin and Korn. This combination might throw a few people off a bit, but that's how "Orestus" singer Mike Kording describes the band's sound. In the spirit of ghosts and zombies, the band will be headlining its annual Halloween show Friday at the House of Rock, 422 Water St.
