Longboarding makes waves around Eau Claire

Many have seen them on campus, barefooted, sandaled or sneakered. They're all out on a similar mission - to shred the streets of Eau Claire. Longboarders haven't been around forever, but long enough to have a lasting impression on students, businesses and those campus tour groups that just can't seem to get out of the way in time.

What ever happened to: Pokemon?

Cute things have always been the rage for me. Hello Kitty, pictures of puppies hugging, babies and stuffonmycat.com are just a few things I recommend to those with the same affinity for all things adorable. But where did it all start? Television, of course! The epitome of cuteness on television for my generation was Pokémon.

Everywhere you look - on campus, online and elsewhere - there is an effort afoot to get voters registered for the upcoming presidential election. I hope that this isn't a surprise to anybody. With the election only three weeks away, there is a frenzy to get college-aged students into the voting booths.
