Tennis team earns weekend sweep

Blugolds win two matches in one day, three matches overall to earn undefeated weekend

It was on Saturday afternoon that the women's tennis team accomplished their second victory of the day and third for the weekend. On Friday the women smashed UW-Stevens Point 8-1. The Blugolds finished undefeated in doubles. First place belonged to juniors Gina Dahl and Courtney Lynn with an 8-4 victory.

The undefeated streak continued this weekend for the UW-Eau Claire women's soccer team. After a long weekend of travel, two hard fought victories were ultimately the result. The first win came against conference rival UW-La Crosse on Saturday afternoon. The Blugolds got off to a very slow start and failed to score in the first half for just the third time this season.

The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team traveled to Pella, Iowa, to compete in the Central College Tournament on Friday and Saturday. The team was coming off its best week of the year when they finished 2-0 against UW-La Crosse and UW-Platteville; however, the Blugolds were unable to carry the momentum into the tournament.
