Survey: Fewer students drinkingWhile survey shows decrease, university numbers still 10 percent above national averageByFewer college students are drinking at UW-Eau Claire, according to a recent survey. The Core Alcohol and Drug Survey, completed by randomly-selected students in May 2006, showed a trend in the decreasing number of college students drinking since 2002. According to the survey results, 81 percent of students reported to have consumed alcohol within the last month, which was down from 87 percent in 2002.
