Communication is the foundation on which we base our everyday lives and even our entire existence. Without a way of communicating, whether it be physical, verbal or through written or visual media, society as a whole would cease to function. Therefore, it becomes important that all members of society learn how to effectively communicate with each other.

Rep. Mark Green's plan to give Wisconsin students an edge in admissions to state schools does not serve the interest of students or the goals of the UW System. The Badger Herald reported that the Republican gubernatorial candidate announced a plan in which universities would admit Wisconsin applicants first, if all candidates met the same standards.

Everyone has a list, or at least losers like me do, of things they'd like to say in their lifetime. For me, I've always wanted to get on stage and say, "Thank you Cleveland," in a rock-star voice of course. Others that I've always wanted to say include, "One dollar, Bob" on "The Price is Right," and "I'll take Potpourri for $400, Alex," on "Jeopardy!.
