Heroines, martyrs and innocents are a few of the labels given to women during wartime that were discussed Tuesday at the Women's Perspectives on War discussion as a part of the Peace and Justice teach-in at Davies Center. The discussion, led by members of UW-Eau Claire faculty, discussed the images and issues that women involved with various aspects of war are faced with.

Last school year, UW-Eau Claire received about 15 notices from copyright holders, such as Universal Studios and Sony, about on-campus students allegedly downloading media files illegally. Annual bowl sale to aid needy

UW-Eau Claire ceramics majors are getting their hands dirty in their annual fund-raiser that benefits needy Eau Claire residents. Continuing a tradition, ceramic bowls made by Eau Claire students will be sold in conjunction with a dinner designed to raise money for the Feed My People Food Bank.

While the sun shone bright and students lounged on the Campus Mall Monday, the Chancellor's Roundtable was held in a room almost as hot as the 90-degree temperature outside. "This has to be the hottest room in the building," senior Matt Flaten said. The fate of the Davies Expansion Committee was the first topic addressed at the Roundtable.

Team receives congrats

After much delay and debate, Student Senate passed a resolution Monday commending the UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team for its third-place finish in the Div. III National Tournament. The resolution was introduced first at the March 31 Senate meeting, but after extensive debate, was referred to Senate's Student Services Commission.

Klenz seeks UC candidates

President asks for non-Senate members

Student Senate President Adrian Klenz sat down Tuesday to list a number of openings he hopes will be filled by students other than Senate members. The most vital positions to fill are in United Council, Klenz said. A total of 13 members are needed - eight delegates and five alternates.
