Nearly 1,000 students, faculty, staff and community members attended the Clearwater Bowl pre-game festival at Carson Park Saturday. The festival was a part of CUBEfest and sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Housing.

Fate of riverbank plan uncertain

Fall hearing seeks input, adjustments to delayed stabilization project

A state examiner will decide the future of UW-Eau Claire’s proposed almost $1 million Chippewa River bank stabilization project on campus in late fall. The state’s Department of Administration will hold a hearing in October or November, with the examiner’s decision coming possibly a few months later.

First Forum speaker will discuss dissent with Bush’s nuclear weapon policy

Helen Caldicott, a pediatrician who has been involved in the anti-nuclear weapon movement for 30 years, will speak as part of the Forum series at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Zorn Arena. She will discuss why she disagrees with the administration of George W. Bush on a policy of nuclear arms.
