I fully support equal pay and equal opportunity for all, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, military status, or national origin. And I fully support the AAUW's efforts to demonstrate their grievance.

But there's something about these bake sales that makes me uncomfortable. And maybe that's the intent. I also don't much care for the anti-affirmative action bake sales which have been held on campus.

Robust debate of important issues should be embraced and encouraged. However, I fear that these bake sales lead to more divisiveness and less productive debate. But I might be wrong . . .

How come this is all fine and dandy but when the college republicans held a bake sale to demonstrate the same principle when it applies to college acceptance, student loans, scholarships and the like with regards to race, creed and culture; everyone gets up-in-arms? It is the exact same principle but applied to color instead of sex. Ahh the quandaries of a liberal arts education...
