Theresa asks,

"Why are fewer restrictions placed on more harmful substances, such as tobacco and alcohol?"

Most likely Theresa, it is because our government makes a boatload of tax revenue off these products and our legislators are chickens with their head cut off who will not do the right thing- they are led by money and re-election only. They would never ban tobacco and alcohol, for fear of the voter revolt that would kick them right out of their "cushy gig". They would rather lecture about cigarettes and drinking and never really take any action, other than raising more tax revenue from them (the cigarette tax goes up over a $1 per pack in a few weeks). Under the current set of legislative and executive leaders, reasonable debate about your topic is a pipe dream. Unless they figure they could tax the crap out of medical marijuana it is of no real interest to them.

I feel your pain. Thank you for telling the world your situation. It would be nice to allow people who suffer from ailments that "Medical Marijuana" could provide relief be able to have legal access to without guilt. I pray for our government to understand and rectify this problem.
