“Tonight Show” tenor saxophonist visits Eau Claire

Saxophonist performed in town and gave UW-Eau Claire students a lesson on the instrument on Friday

Renowned saxophonist Pete Christleib, who played jazz tenor sax for Doc Severinsen’s Tonight Show Band for 20 years, visited UW-Eau Claire campus Friday afternoon to teach students a lesson on the saxophone with his own unique twists.

He also played for an audience at Pizza Plus the same evening, livening customers with his enthusiastic sound.
