You are the best: Aziz Ansari and Annamarie Tendler

It’s one thing to look good and it’s another to stuff your face with delicious food.  But who would’ve thought to… (slow it down) DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME?

I think that’s exactly what Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, 30 Minutes or Less, and other things) and Annamarie Tendler (New York City makeup artist) had in mind when they launched “Food and Fashion” on Tendler’s tumblr page.

And it’s incredible.

Never have I actually felt more worthless, more college-poor and more like I needed to be in the big city than I did after reading the first post.  Then I think I realized that I would never ever eat a lobster roll and cooked myself a frozen pizza, ate it all and went to bed because c’est la vie, carpe diem, Levi’s commercial.

Basically, Tendler and Ansari are buds and for this project they went to their favorite restaurants in New York, ate the best dishes and all the while, they wore their favorite, most classy attire.

You’re probably thinking: “Oh wow, cool.  Rich people looking so beautiful and cool and eating the most expensive, crazy things.  I pay taxes, lalala.”

If you were, I’d say to you: “Good point!”

I guess, in this one, it’s really about doing something fun and interesting, something you can’t quite accomplish sitting on a beanbag chair in your boxer shorts playing Wii Sports by yourself.  The point is, if I had the money, the stability and the time, this is exactly what I’d do.

So, for understanding me more than most people…

Annamarie Tendler and Aziz Ansari:  YOU ARE THE BEST!

And here’s why: first of all, GREAT NAMES.  Good work, the parents of Aziz Ansari and Annamarie Tendler.  Kudos to y’all.

Second of all: you’re both so pretty I can’t handle it.

Thirdly, and most importantly: the reason I like “Food and Fashion” so much is because THAT’S ALL I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE.  I wish I could wear nice suits and shirts and fancy sunglasses and shoes and good belts and go eat the best things everyday and then blog about it.  I WISH THAT.

Basically, the typical “Food and Fashion” post is something like this:
-Really cool photo of Tendler (T) and Ansari (A),
-Really cool photo of fancy NYC restaurant
-A talks about what he ate, T talks about what she ate (they both are very smart at food)
-Really cool photo of T and A eating
-Overview
-T’s outfit and where each piece is from
-A’s outfit and where each piece is from
-T’s makeup things

It’s so nice how they put EVERYTHING I want to know in the post.  I love it.  I love them.  I love this whole thing.

Annamarie and Aziz: TAKE ME WITH YOU.  I’m fun and kind of cool and you’ll probably think that I’m nice, too.  I like food and clothes and you guys, if that helps.

So while I’m feeling inspired, who wants to go to [fancy restaurant] with me this weekend and wear the best clothes from [cool place you haven’t heard of] and by [cool designer]?

(I’m not buying)
