UW-Eau Claire has set up many community outreach programs for community members. Kinesiology Department Chair Matt Wiggins set up a cancer recovery exercise program for community members to come and socialize and for students to come and learn.

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum stopped in Eau Claire on Friday while on his campaign tour of Wisconsin, whose primary is April 3. Santorum got a big welcome at Republican party headquarters, though some protesters also made an appearance — a few of whom held anti-Scott Walker signs.
