Clinical instructor in College of Nursing and Health Sciences passes away

A UW-Eau Claire faculty member passed away Sunday at the age of 44.

Tina Emerson, a clinical instructor in UW-Eau Claire’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences since fall 2013, had battled been battling a long illness before it finally took her.

Emerson earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Milwaukee’s Alverno College and her master of science degree in nursing from Eau Claire. Before joining UW-Eau Claire as a clinical instructor, she was the director of nursing at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Spring Valley.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Menomonie United Methodist Church in Menomonie. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
